Sarah Cummings is a geographer by training and has worked for the past 25 years in the field of information and knowledge management for international development. She is part of the network of practitioners and researchers which make up the Information and Knowledge Management (IKM) Emergent Research Programme, known as IKM Emergent. IKM Emergent focuses on the role of multiple knowledges and multiple realities within the development sector.
Sarah Cummings is one of the founders and currently editor-in-chief of the Knowledge Management for Development Journal http://www.tandf.co.uk/journals/titles/19474199.asp which has strong links to the Knowledge Management for Development community of practice www.km4dev.org. She works as a consultant in knowledge management for Context, international cooperation in Utrecht, The Netherlands.
