Day 1:Tuesday 25^th August, 2009

Advanced Theory – Finding a Common Base

The first day of the conference will set the basis for the whole conference. As said before ´knowledge democracy` is subject of a diversity of interpretations, assumptions, prejudices and expectations. By mixing the different disciplines in both plenary as well as workshop sessions we hope to create an environment in which the different audiences feel confident to meet and learn from each other.

Day 2: Wednesday 26^th August, 2009

Tensions & Synergies – Facing the Challenges

During the second day of the conference we travel deep into the different fields. An intense day full of parallel sessions in which we expect our participators to commute between the different force fields.

Day 3: Thursday 27^th August, 2009

Bridging Theory & Practice – Taking Responsibility

In this last day of the conference findings towards knowledge democracy will be revealed.
Threats and opportunities in bridging the gap will be converted into concrete steps with clear defined tasks and responsibilities. These recommendations will be handed over to high-level representatives of politics, science and media.
